After having finished the PhD thesis in 2012 from University of Bremen, Germany, company founder Liang started to work in Ichron Limited and later on RPS group as a stratigrapher. Since then Liang concentrated on Tertiary-Triassic stratigraphy in different fields of the North Sea, Norwegian Sea, West of Shetland and Barents Sea basins etc. by analysing dinoflagellate cysts, pollen and spores from cutting or core samples.

Over 200 exploration wells have been analysed for stratigraphic breakdown, multi-wells correlations and paleoenvironmental reconstruction. Apart from that, Liang has done over 20 wellsite projects for oil companies which assisted in the casing point, TD picking and geosteering etc.
